TO LIVE AND BREATHE IN
SAN DIEGO
Growing up with family in the Navy and Marines led Haley to visiting San Diego often. After undergrad, she decided to pursue her professional career producing event endeavors in the city she has always loved (which also happened to have a booming hospitality scene). After moving to Ocean Beach and furthering her path into creative connected culture, Haley has been inspired by the live music and arts scene in Southern California to pursue her artistic endeavors. By finding innovative ways to infuse nature, arts, and music into the way we live and breathe she hopes to invite you to explore her world of San Diego living.

STUDY ABROAD
In the Summer of 2021, Haley had the opportunity to travel up and down Thailand in the pursuit of cultural connection during the pandemic. There she spent six weeks on a journey of self discovery, learning about Thai culture, and gaining global perspective. It taught her the immense importance of adaptation in flexibility, and opening up to other perspectives.
Haley has a passion for travel and hopes to visit every USA state and every continent. She has visited twenty five out of fifty states, and has been to Asia twice; in addition to Thailand, she has also spent time visiting her Aunt in Hong Kong.
There she was able to volunteer with her Aunt's missionary organization by organizing and passing out food to lower income communities in the city of Tuen Muen. Additionally, she got to explore the city with her family, and expand her palette (mostly in spicy foods). She hopes that continuing her exposure to global perspectives will inspire her to create in expounding ways.

PERFORMING ARTS
Throughout her youth, Haley spent time performing in nearly two to four shows a year from elementary through high school. Her freshman year in high school her passion for theatre led her to taking stagecraft after not being cast in a show, and she began to work backstage for performances. She spent time helping with painting, lighting, sound, sets, stage management, and reorganizing the green room while also attending rehearsals. The skills she learned and she people met while in company have given her experience and confidence to do anything.

SORORITY EXPERIENCE
ADPOP. 2019.
Being surrounded by a large theatre community in her youth drove Haley to seek that sense of camaraderie at Chico State. Her first year she joined an NPC affiliated sorority known as Alpha Delta Pi. In 2019, she served on the executive team as the Vice President of Event Management; this entailed maintaining the social calendar, managing the social and philanthropy budget, overseeing officer chair positions, and designing T-shirts and merchandise all while producing over five events per semester. Additionally, Alpha Delta Pi led Haley to an internship at the El Rey Theatre in Chico. There she realized her desire to one day work and design live music events. At this time she began to foster a relationship between the venue and the Greek community. Alpha Delta Pi became the first Greek organization to host events at the El Rey, and it is the most popular venue for Greek events to this day.
The following year she delved further into organizational leadership as she was elected Chapter President. Her responsibilities shifted to advising the executive team in the management of chapter operations, overseeing all officer plans for events and programming, representing the chapter at executive leadership trainings, running weekly chapter meetings, and acting as liaison for the Panhellenic and campus community. In the middle of her term as President, the world was struck by the Pandemic caused by the Corona Virus. As school moved online, so did the sorority. Haley helped motivate and guide officer teams as they discovered what virtual greek life could look like.
The leadership she demonstrated in her presidency led Haley to a position in the Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Office as College Panhellenic Council Paraprofessional. While finishing her own position as President she began working closely with the Panhellenic Executive Board, advising other Chapter Presidents, educating greek members on the fundamentals of leadership, and trained Recruitment Counselors for Formal Recruitment. She became instrumental in developing Chico's first virtual Formal Recruitment, and continued fostering leadership within the Greek Community throughout her position. She is grateful for the experience, support, and friendships of those within Chico's 2020-2021 Panhellenic Community as they navigated through unprecedented times.
